Our Therapists

Craig Ciurlionis

Craig Ciurlionis believes that all people need an opportunity to express how they feel about their life experiences with a compassionate listener. Sadly, this still seems to be a rare experience for many.

As a registered psychotherapist (PBANZ), Craig aims to provide this while fostering curiosity about oneself in the hope that unhelpful behavioural and relational patterns can be identified and eventually changed. Amongst other benefits, psychotherapy can help identify beliefs about yourself and others that are limiting, unhelpful, and inaccurate. A richer, easier, more rewarding life is possible.

Craig works with a range of the ways that mental and emotional pain can present itself, with particular experience and interest in addiction and finding personal meaning and purpose.

Jessie McCall

Jessie McCall is a registered psychotherapist (PBANZ) who works with adults hoping to gain more clarity and meaning in both their inner and outer lives. Therapy provides a space in which your experiences and emotional life can be heard more fully than is often possible elsewhere. Coming to better know yourself and your way of being in relationship offers you more agency in finding new and more fulfilling possibilities.

Alongside psychodynamic talk-based methods, Jessie offers Art Therapy as an additional treatment approach. Art Therapy utilities creative modalities such as painting and drawing to help the client access and express important parts of their experience.

Psychotherapy and Art Therapy can be helpful in a range of areas including anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, relationship issues, anger, sexuality and identity.  Jessie works with her clients not only to address the acute and painful challenges that life may face us with, but also to expand a sense of meaning and richness in everyday life. Jessie works with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds and gender identities.

Ruth-Anne Sammes

Ruth-Anne Sammes is a registered psychotherapist (PBANZ) trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy who works one on one with adults. She works in a collaborative way, viewing the client as the expert in their life, although acknowledges that often the things that bring us to therapy can leave us feeling lost, stuck, or hopeless, and anything but an expert.

Ruth-Anne sees therapy as a process of both learning and unlearning. The ways of being that cause us suffering often start off as something necessary or helpful before they become a source of pain. In exploring the patterns in our life and coming to understand them, we can then make choices and have more freedom in the way we live.

As a therapist, Ruth-Anne is comfortable working with a wide range of issues and aims to provide an environment where people can bring the whole of their experience.
